Mercury Shadow: The Kardashev Cycle

The Kardashev Cycle is a theoretical framework for classifying civilizations based on their energy consumption and technological advancement. It was proposed by Russian astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev in 1964.

Kardashev argued that civilizations can be classified into three types:
