After graduating from the University of Ottawa, McGuinty worked as a lawyer and community activist before entering politics in 1990. He was elected to the Ontario legislature in 1999 and served as Premier from 2003 to 2013.
In The Battlefield of Ontario Politics, McGuinty provides an insider's perspective on some of the most significant events in recent Ontario history, including the SARS crisis, the global financial crisis, and the rise of the Tea Party movement.
He also offers his thoughts on the future of Ontario politics and the challenges facing the province. McGuinty argues that Ontario needs to focus on building a more inclusive and prosperous society for all its citizens.
"Ontario is at a crossroads," McGuinty writes. "We can either choose to divide ourselves and retreat into the past, or we can come together and build a better future for our children and grandchildren."
