I'm not sure why my human insists on keeping a diary for me. I mean, I'm a cat. I don't have anything important to say. But since she's so insistent, I might as well indulge her.

January 1st

Dear Diary,

Happy New Year! I hope this year is filled with lots of naps, cuddles, and chasing laser pointers. I'm not really sure what my human's resolutions are, but I'm sure they involve spending more time with me. Which is fine by me!

February 14th

Dear Diary,

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about, but my human seems to think it's a big deal. She's been giving me extra cuddles and treats all day. I'm not complaining!

March 8th

Dear Diary,

Happy International Women's Day! I'm not really sure what that is, but my human says it's a day to celebrate all the amazing women in the world. I guess that includes me! I'm a pretty amazing cat, after all.

April 1st

Dear Diary,

April Fools' Day! My human thinks it's funny to play tricks on me today. But I'm too smart for that. I know she's going to try to put a cucumber behind me or something. Not gonna happen!

May 5th

Dear Diary,

Cinco de Mayo! My human is making tacos tonight. I'm not really sure what tacos are, but they smell delicious. I'm hoping she'll share some with me.

June 21st

Dear Diary,

Summer solstice! The days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter. I'm not really sure what that means, but I'm sure it's a good thing. More time to nap in the sun!

July 4th

Dear Diary,

Happy Independence Day! My human is having a barbecue today. I'm not really sure what a barbecue is, but it sounds like there will be food. And I love food!

August 1st

Dear Diary,

Happy Cat Appreciation Day! Today is all about celebrating cats. I'm not really sure why we need a special day for that, but I'm not complaining. I'm a pretty amazing cat, after all.

September 22nd

Dear Diary,

Autumn equinox! The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer. I'm not really sure what that means, but I'm sure it's a good thing. More time to curl up in a warm spot and nap!

October 31st

Dear Diary,

Happy Halloween! My human is dressing me up as a pumpkin. I'm not really sure why, but I'm sure it's for my own good. I'm a pretty cute pumpkin, after all.

November 22nd

Dear Diary,

Happy Thanksgiving! My human is making a big turkey dinner. I'm not really sure what turkey is, but it smells delicious. I'm hoping she'll share some with me.

December 25th

Dear Diary,

Merry Christmas! My human got me a new toy mouse. I'm not really sure why, but I'm sure it's for my own good. I'm a pretty good mouser, after all.

And that's a wrap on my year! It's been a pretty good year, all things considered. I've napped, I've cuddled, and I've chased laser pointers. What more could a cat ask for?
